All organizations in the healthcare industry need Salesforce Health Cloud software, yet not all implement it.

If you are thinking of utilizing the services of the salesforce cloud technology for your business then look no further! Because In today’s post, we are going to discuss Salesforce Health Cloud management.

Yes, Let’s get started.

Salesforce Health Cloud is a CRM software providing cloud-based services in the healthcare and Life Sciences industry. Its main purpose is to centralize all the patient information in one place to give a 360-degree view of the patient’s health.

Integration of Patient Information From Multiple Sources

The Salesforce Health Cloud integrates a patient’s data from multiple sources in a single patient’s profile. It is a record management tool that facilitates the one-to-one relationships between doctor and patient.

It provides an overall 360-degree view of the patient’s health. Customizations and automation tools of the health cloud serve to assist healthcare organizations in delivering their services to patients. This fosters a more personalized communication and collaborative relationship between doctor and patient.

Health Cloud helps in bringing it all together and thereby helping caregivers in developing strong doctor-patient relationships. But it does take a lot of work! From keeping track of critical patient records, insurance providers, and caregivers to looking after client’s treatment and health outcomes.

Some Objects Used In Salesforce Health Cloud

Salesforce Health Cloud provides a diverse set of both standard and custom objects to store patient data and also to access intensive and specialized health information. Following are some of the standard objects utilized by the health cloud to record and manage patient information.

Account Object

Account Object represents a patient and not an organization or a business. It is linked to contact objects records as well. This object plays an important role regarding all the transactions relating the patient’s health.

Contact Object

This object stores information relating to the people who are associated with the patient like family members and specialists. Contact object supports communication within the personal community of the patient.

It should be connected to the account object. Care team members will be added externally as contacts. They won’t have an access to community and community users.

User Object

There are internal as well as community users in the Health cloud. Internal users will have access to patient records and also to some other set of information. Community users on the other hand don’t have an access to patient records.

Case Team Member Object

This object represents a patient care team member. Case team members can not login into salesforce but they can communicate through Chatter. Case team members can only be contacts.

Problems (Custom Object)

Every Health care plan has a catalog of clinical and non-clinical health problems that should be addressed. This object represents and manages the treatment for the patients based on their health conditions. Care plan problem is a custom object.

Task Object

Task object represents all activities related to a phone call, a medical appointment, etc.

Importance Of Salesforce Health Cloud

The primary focus of Health Cloud technology is on improving the experience of patients. However, not only does it benefit patients but it also aids healthcare providers, doctors, care groups, medical professionals, and medical equipment manufacturing companies by providing vital patient data with which they can deliver better services and products to customers.

For example, Let’s say a patient visits the nearby health care center for treatment, and after two weeks the on-duty doctor gets replaced with a new medical professional. The new doctor may not know the details regarding the health and treatment of that patient.

So in this scenario, it becomes helpful to have the data of the patient stored in the database that is accessible from anywhere and to all the concerned parties related to the patient and medical professionals.
